First Relativity Media announced that 28 Weeks Later director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo would be directing.
Then came the cringe-worthy news of who would be starring as Eric Draven, Brandon Lee's break-out and final role, Bradley Cooper (The Hangover: Part II and Limitless)
Today Relativity Media's posted a press release excitedly announcing their new screenwriter: Alex Tse, who wrote Zack Snyder's adaptation of The Watchmen along with David Hayter.

My theory in the idea behind this remake is the popular taboo of hacking. War Games followed a young Matthew Broderick and his hacking skills go head-to-head with a self-supported AI system computer that had the control to destroy the world with nuclear holocaust.
The film is a classic that is in the same "hacking/hipster" clic as "Hackers."
