In the year 2159 two classes of people exist: the very wealthy who live on a pristine man-made space station called Elysium, and the rest, who live on an overpopulated, ruined Earth. Secretary Rhodes (Jodie Foster), a hard line government official, will stop at nothing to enforce anti-immigration laws and preserve the luxurious lifestyle of the citizens of Elysium. That doesn’t stop the people of Earth from trying to get in, by any means they can. When unlucky Max (Matt Damon) is backed into a corner, he agrees to take on a daunting mission that if successful will not only save his life, but could bring equality to these polarized worlds.
Here's the official synopsis of Elysium: The film is directed by Neill Blomkamp & stars Matt Damon, Jodie Foster, Sharlto Copley, William Fichtner and Diego Luna. Elysium opens on August 9th.

Twentieth Century Fox has now released the full domestic and international trailers for director James Mangold's The Wolverine, starring Hugh Jackman, Will Yun Lee, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima and Brian Tee. Thanks to ComingSoon you can view the trailers below. Based on the celebrated comic book arc, the July 26 release takes Wolverine (Jackman), the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world, he will face a host of unexpected and deadly opponents in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality. I have waited almost two years to see this movie. Finally the first trailer for You're Next is now online. This film completely devastated the audience at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival and was almost immediately pulled down and hidden behind closed doors. Eleven days later Lionsgate bought the rights to the film and has cherished this movie ever since. The story centers on a family reunion that turns deadly when the family becomes targeted by masked murderers. Their only hope is Erin (Sharni Vinson), a girlfriend of one of the family members. The trailer is a bit cliche and will remind viewers of The Strangers but this film will be extremely unique to watch. Written by Simon Barrett & directed by Adam Wingard,You’re Next also stars Joe Swanberg, AJ Bowen, Amy Seimetz, Barbara Crampton, Wendy Glenn, Margaret Laney, Rob Moran, and Nicholas Tucci, and Ti West. The film opens August 23rd. The first trailer for the British crime thriller Welcome to the Punch has landed online. Directed byEran Creevy (Shifty), the film stars James McAvoy as a cop whose nemesis, played by Mark Strong, suddenly reappears after having eluded capture years earlier. The trailer plays like a mash-up between Heat and Snatch, with less comedy and 1000% more bullets and explosions. I’m not exactly sure how everything comes together plotwise, but I’m sufficiently intrigued by the talented ensemble and Creevy’s impressive visuals. This is a British thriller through and through, which is something we’ve seen far too little of lately. Fans of The Walking Dead will also be happy to spot one David Morrissey in the cast, who plays The Governor on the AMC series. The first trailer for the zombie love story Warm Bodies has been released. Directed by Jonathan Levine (50/50), the film stars Nicholas Hoult as “R” a zombie who falls in love with Julie (Teresa Palmer) and starts to act more human than zombie. This trailer is a breath of fresh air in regards to other cliche films so I'm quite excited about this movie and I'm glad a trailer has finally been released. The film also stars Rob Corddry, John Malkovich, Dave Franco, and Analeigh Tipton. Warm Bodies opens on February 1st, 2013. Warning: this is a "Red-Band" trailer; meaning this is an uncensored video. This video contains nudity, gore, and acts of violence. Elijah Wood plays Frank, a man - haunted by seedy memories of his promiscuous mother - who works in a mannequin shop by day and stalks 'n kills women by night. Things take a turn in his life when he meets a beautiful photographer (Nora Arnezeder). Franck Khalfoun directs. |
