"Wii U seems to be a lot more powerful than the previous generation," Gabe said, adding, "It sort of fits better into the scalability in terms of graphics performance and CPU performance, so I think it'll be a lot easier for us to fit it into our scalability model." 

Speaking at the Games for Learning Institute's Games for Change conference in New York today, Valve boss man Gabe Newell spoke encouragingly of the prospect of Valve support for Nintendo's new console. 

"Now it's a lot easier to look at Wii U and have it fit within that framework."

Only time will tell how Valve will teleport their way over to Nintendo's new console.
