The latest Reloaded blog post touches on “extensive changes”, which Reloaded Productions plans “to implement in the Open Beta and especially for Live Service”.

Former Realtime Worlds staffer and current Reloaded Productions designer Zak “Qwentle” Littwin outlined some of this new content.

“The expansion of game modes (especially the addition of “Chaos” and the creation of the completely new mode called “Turf Wars’) as well as the release of a whole new district (the “Asylum” expansion),” he wrote.

“We are working on [turning Asylum into] an awesome map [which will] drastically alter how players can engage each other, and potentially will alter (for the better) the whole idea of missions, while leaving in place some of the ideas behind the original game play from the original districts.”

“These future changes will truly change the game play of APB,” he added, “And will make the game much more sustainable.”

Littwin stressed that new features and content are unlikely to surface in an upcoming closed beta; invites for it went out last week.

Javier Bardem has been offered a role in the upcoming (still untitled) 23rd James Bond film, according to a story at Deadline.

Though the role is unspecified, the article suggests that it is major part and speculation could easily place Bardem as the film's villain. If that is the case, Bardem would mark the second Oscar winner to face off against the secret agent after Christopher Walken in 1985's A View to a Kill.

Currently, Daniel Craig and Judi Dench are confirmed to return for the franchise sequel under Director Sam Mendes. No plot details are currently available, but the script (from Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and John Logan) is said to pick up soon after the events of Quantum of Solace.

Warner Bros. Pictures has announced that Henry Cavill will play Clark Kent/Superman in the Zack Snyder-directed Superman movie:

Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures announced today that Henry Cavill has won the coveted role of Superman, the iconic superhero.

The film will be directed by Zack Snyder, who stated, “In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time, and I am honored to be a part of his return to the big screen. I also join Warner Bros., Legendary and the producers in saying how excited we are about the casting of Henry. He is the perfect choice to don the cape and S shield.”

Charles Roven, Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan and Deborah Snyder are the producers of the film. The screenplay is being written by David S. Goyer based on a story by Goyer and Nolan. Thomas Tull and Lloyd Phillips are serving as executive producers.

Cavill recently wrapped production on “The Cold Light of Day” and stars in the upcoming “Immortals,” opening this fall.

Targeted for release in December 2012, the new Superman movie will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

Deadline reports that up-and-coming 28 year old actor Benjamin Walker has landed the lead role in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, that awesome new adaptation of Seth Graham-Smith's novel that's being directed by Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted). Walker appeared inFlags of Our FathersAll Saints Day and Coach, and was in the running for Hank McCoy in X-Men: First Class, but it looks like this will be his breakout role. He beat others like Eric Bana, Adrien Brody, Oliver Jackson-Cohen & Josh Lucas.

The Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter story kicks off with the revelation that Lincoln's mother was killed by a supernatural creature, which fueled his passion to crush vampires and their slave-owning helpers. The book depicts the 16th US president as an axe-throwing highly trained vampire killer. With shooting already set to start later this year and a June 22nd, 2012 release date from 20th Century Fox we should expect to hear more about this adaptation and more casting as Bekmambetov continues work in pre-production.

The Xbox Live team is not backing down after it found out a gamer it labeled as a cheater - which reset his Gamerscore and emblazoned a "cheater" symbol on his account - is autistic 11-year-old Julias Jackson.

His mother, Jennifer Zdenek, says that Xbox Live was some of her son's only social interaction outside of school. She told a local news station that her son was devastated when he turned on his Xbox 360 and discovered that his Gamercard had been branded with a Scarlet Letter-like "Cheater" tag and that his Gamerscore had been reset to zero.

"It disgusts me that they did this to my child," she said. She asserts that all of her son's Achievements were legitimate, and that Microsoft mistook playing too well as cheating.

In a story on Seattle's Q13 Fox News station, Zdenek says she tried to contact Microsoft but only got a form letter response. Q13 said they also tried to reach Microsoft but received no response.

Microsoft did eventually step in and investigate the specific case, and it stood by its decision. In a post on Twitter, Director of Policy and Enforcement for Xbox LIVE Stephen Toulouse wrote, "We confirmed there were cheated achievements and gave the parent the details. This wasnt a 'he played too good' situation at all."

My Opinion?
I stand with Microsoft. A Cheater is a Cheater is a Cheater.

Not Viggo Mortenson, Not Christian Bale, but Javier Bardem.Bardem has officially been extended an offer to play Roland Deschain, the last living member of a knightly order of gunslingers, and humanity's last hope to save a civilization that will crumble unless he finds the Dark Tower.
Some people might be upset since a Spanish actor is playing a non-Latin cowboy. However, since the studio is apparently looking at Jennifer Carpenter to play Susannah, they may not be using the character's races as they exist in the series as an unbreakable trait for the film adaptation.
film is being planned for a May 13th, 2013 release, but because the scripts aren't done, a budget can't be calculated and a greenlight hasn't yet been given. But apparently Universal remains supportive and we'll likely see this project get off the ground by late summer or early September.
