They are dated, white, and not as shiny as the new tech Microsoft is about to release but they get the job done. Many movies and songs have been controlled with this remote and so many games have been lost and won because of this headset. Image is credited to myself [CVG] The rumor-mill has been churning and whispering all over the internet about the newly bought domain names: Sony-Microsoft.com and Microsoft-Sony.com. At first glance of those URLs you might think of a future partnership right? Or a new sense of friendship between the two media giants. But a Microsoft employee has spoken out on the registration of the domains. Frank X. Shaw confirmed that this was just a defensive move in order to ensure that no third party can wrongfully purchase the said domains and misuse them. Twitter Quote: "re: sony/ms domain names: Sony = great MS partner. No scoop here, this was just a defensive domain hold. Let's move on to weekend, kay? :)" What do you believe? Could Sony/Microsoft be competing against Apple and Zynga? With the rise of mobile gaming, online streaming, and new tech to adapt games onto, a whole new way to create games is here. The video game industry is getting risky and harder to make ends meet on the market. When the next generation hits, production value will increase with the new hardware and software making games more expensive. the more money thrown at games would make developers weary about taking risks with New IPs and functions. Big titles and sequels would take over the store shelves and new IPs would be rare. This theory also predicts that smaller developers and studios would be pushed out or close down due to costs and expenses. The Next Generation of gaming may sound bleak but lets hope the gamers running this industry know what they're doing, and if not...lets hope they know the cheat codes. Some gamers have a re-occurring dream where they can play with people from different consoles, and through different OS systems and what have you. The rumor of "Xbox Live Will Be Built Into The PC" has been confirmed by the creators themselves. Microsoft’s vice president of global marketing Mike Delman confirming: "Live has been successful on the Windows Phone. Live will be built into the PC. It will be the service where you get your entertainment. We were talking about it — you will not just see consoles and handhelds at this show next year, this show’s going to morph into other devices." There will be more details about this later, no doubt about it. Microsoft's 343 Industries division, which oversees all things Halo including Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary edition, has big plans for the HD remake's soundtrack. 343 has partnered with Pyramind Studios to remake the original game soundtrack, using the Skywalker Symphony Orchestra and the Chanticleer vocal ensemble. The soundtrack team will remake the original's soundtrack (composed by Martin O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori) note for note, but with a newly recorded orchestral and vocal arrangement. “It was a huge undertaking to transcribe, orchestrate, and produce every note from the original game soundtrack files” said Paul Lipson, Pyramind Studios COO/audio director. “Our team approached every aspect of the music with an immense amount of skill and care, keeping the core Halo sound while updating the production to today’s highest standards." {Source: GameInformer} |
