POSTAL III, long awaited next electronic opus in the famously irreverent Running With Scissors' action shooter franchise will be available worldwide via Steam®, a leading platform for digital content distribution and management.

The POSTAL III launch, in concert with Russian publisher Akella, represents the first worldwide deal for the infamous game franchise.  “This is a great day for RWS but, more importantly, for POSTAL Fans around the world," proclaimed RWS CEO Vince Desi.  "We welcome gamers everywhere to play for themselves and see what they’ve been missing.”

POSTAL III delivers the return of The Postal Dude, among the most memorable characters in video game history, as well as Virtual Guest Appearances by singing sensation Randy Jones (from The Village People), Playboy Playmate Jennifer Walcott and porn superstar Ron Jeremy.  Or, as Desi put it: "We cover the rainbow of society."

Since the 1997 release of the original POSTALRunning With Scissors has relentlessly generated a sequel, several add-on games, a feature film and built a global fan following.

Initially available in PC format, deals are already in motion to bring the game to console format.  "It's been a long, hard journey to get it here," Akella's Andrew Belkin acknowledged. "But I couldn't have written a happier ending than seeing POSTAL III on Steam!"

I know I'm late on the news, I apologize but I was at work all day.

RockStarGames.com has announced that GTA5 is happening and will be released in the future.

Big things to take note of are:
  • GTA5 has been confirmed to be set in Los Angeles(or a city using a psuedo-name).
  • Multiple playable characters are attached to the main storyline.
  • GTA5's debut trailer is releasing on Nov. 2, 2011.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is releasing on 11-11-11. We all know that but I wanted to blog a little about my preparation for the highly anticipated release. I became a fanatic about Oblivion after being introduced to Morrowind and now that Skyrim is coming out it is ridiculous how excited I am. I counted down the days for a straight year when Oblivion was announced and now that the fifth installment of the Elder Scrolls series is so close my hands are aching for some gameplay.

In the minutes following 12:00am on 11-11-11 (a Friday) I'll be holding my Collector's edition of Skyrim. After the midnight release however I have to go to work at dawn so no playtime for me yet. If I started playing it would be hard for me to stop. After work however the gaming will begin and end when I pass out! Two days ago I ordered a nice Skyrim themed hoody and a case of Bawls Energy Drink (Pictured Left). If you want some click the linked name. Bawls is one of my favorite energy drinks besides NOS and they are very hard to find; I looked in TN, VA, WV, and MA.

I've been tweaking my settings with my Dazzle recorder to get better quality resolution for gameplay and I plan on recording a lot of footage and editing it Monday and/or Tuesday. I know youtube will be filled with videos on the game but I will share my experiences with you all. With Bawls Energy to drink, Doritos and burgers to eat, the Skyrim hoody to keep me warm, and the company of my girlfriend I should be all set and I hope to play Skyrim for at least 10 hours straight; Friday 7pm-Sat 5am or more if I can stay awake!

I hope whoever is getting this game enjoys it and they can remember this game in years to come because I know this game will stay in my collection for years and I'll be playing it for many many months. FYI- I have played Oblivion for a total of more than 5000 hours with 23 characters. That's 208 days straight. That's like 7 months back-to-back! You may laugh but Oblivion in my favorite game and I hope Skyrim can match or beat its meaning in my heart and memory.

Later Gamers, remember to save often and game hard.

With Warner Bros. now moving forward with Akira, it’s time to begin casting.

In talks to play the lead role of Kaneda is Tron's Garret Hedlund, and sources are now telling Twitch that Helena Bonham Carter and Gary Oldman have been offered roles in the film. Oldman has been offered to play the role of the Colonel, with Carter offered the role of Lady Miyako.

While both Carter and Oldman are extroidinary actors, fans will still be complaining about the studio whitewashing the cast. Although, it’s understandable complaining about a Caucasion actor portraying an Asian character.

With Battlefield 3′s size, massive maps, and huge details being something that’s unprecedented in certain aspects, install sizes for the DICE-developed shooter has been a hot topic for months.

Well, it’s certainly been a hot topic for the Xbox 360 version, at least; the game will ship on two disks for the platform, as well as featuring an optional texture pack install (which, if not installed, makes the game look “standard-def”).

The PlayStation 3 version of Battlefield 3, meanwhile, has stayed out of the spotlight in regards to install sizes; however, the install size for Sony’s console has now been revealed.

In a recent video showcasing the unboxing of the Limited Edition, it has been revealed that the PlayStation 3 install size for Battlefield 3 weighs in at exactly 2GB (it’s not clear whether the installation is mandatory, or what it entails -- such as the texture pack)

When comparing Battlefield 3′s install size with recent releases, there’s substantial differences. Firstly, RAGE -- as well as Battlefield 3 -- was expected to push console’s limit, in particular its graphics, and thus received a mandatory 8GB installation requirement for PlayStation 3 owners. In contrast, the Xbox 360 version of the game has an option 22GB install.

According to trusted gaming site, Develop, Microsoft and Sony are almost ready to release their new consoles.

The next console from Microsoft will have an E3 2013 Announcement with a Holiday Launch or even early 2014, and Sony should launch around 2014.

Develop claims that several projects are already underway for the new Microsoft system, including a Fable game at Lionhead internally named 'Fable Next'.

The site says data from multiple "sources across the industry, from processor chip manufacturers to middleware firms" confirm that Microsoft is getting ready.

"A trusted source connected to the matter" told Develop that several of Sony's 16 internal studios have stated work on PS4 game concepts that could enter into full production if given the green light.

The site claims Sony has yet to finalize the console's technical specifications and that the PS3 successor isn't expected to launch before 2014.

The long in development Akira live-action remake has apparently been greenlit.Variety reports that Warner Bros. has greenlit the project with director Jaume Collet-Serra (Unknown) attached to direct. What's more, they may have already found their leading man in TRON: Legacy star Garrett Hedlund.

Famously adapted as an anime in 1988, Akira will be based on the original manga by Katsuhiro Otomo, depicting a sci-fi cyberpunk dystopia, but will relocate the action to "New Manhattan" rather than "Neo-Tokyo."

Hedlund's involvement is only speculated at the moment, but he would up be for the part of the original story's Kaneda (there is not yet word on whether or not the character names will be changed).

Budgeted at $90 million, Akira could shoot as early as February of next year.

Back in May, Ubisoft Motion Pictures, the film and TV production arm of the game publishing company, announced it was developing 3D feature films based on Assassin's CreedSplinter Cell and Ghost ReconVariety now says that the Assassin's Creed adaptation has found a home at Sony Pictures.

The fourth installment of the games, Assassin's Creed: Revelations is set to hit the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 15.

Earlier this year, Jean de Rivieres, Ubisoft's senior VP of international marketing and distribution, said "Our strategy is not to diversify but to bolster the appeal of our franchises -- that's why we want to make sure our films will reflect the brands accurately and consolidate our fan base while expanding beyond the games' primary target audience."

Baronnet added, "We want to keep ownership, retain control over the film content, and we're open to work with studios on the development of our projects, and eventually collaborate on the pre-casting, pre-budget and script."

Sony is also developing big screen adaptations of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and inFAMOUS.
