Dexter season 6 is airing this October 2 and I'll be following each episode here and on my Twitter. I'll update this page with my personal views and a synopsis of each episode as they run. I'm a huge fan of Dexter and this season isn't going to disappoint.
Answer the 4 questions at the bottom of the page in our Dexter Poll.
"The explosively popular DEXTER® is back with a vengeance for a sixth season of startling suspense and unexpected twists. It's been a year since last season's shocking and heartbreaking conclusion, and mild mannered criminologist-cum-grisly serial killer Dexter Morgan has come to terms with who he is. But his existence is shattered when he crosses paths with an enemy unlike any he's faced before. A delusional religious zealot with unflinching convictions, this new adversary soon draws Dexter into a dangerous game that could well end in disaster."

***** 9-16-11 Season 6 Episode 1 Short Synopsis

16 days until the premiere! Here's a short synopsis about episode 6.01 "Those Kinds of Things"...

Dexter Morgan attends his 20th high school reunion; Dexter considers his son's legacy; Debra becomes an unexpected hero.

***** 7-20-11 Season 6 SPOILERS; Harry and Dexter, Laquerta and Batista

These are indeed SPOILERS. To View them highlight the following text. >
~~~~~Dexter and his father Harry will finally be on level ground this season. "He's going to be much more of a support for Dexter than someone who's always saying, 'Oh, you're making a mistake. Don't do this,'" executive producer Sara Colleton says. Now that they are both fathers, Dexter will "fully realize what [his] father gave up and went through. It makes for a more equal relationship."
~~~~~Batista and Laquerta have gotten a divorce in the year stint from Season 5 to 6.

***** Deb and Quinn will have officially moved in together when Season 6 — which jumps ahead one year — begins. But that doesn't mean everything is fine and dandy between them. "Quinn came up last year as a man who was worthy of Deb, but let's face it, we all know that Deb is the superior woman and deserves not to feel that she ever has to settle," executive producer Sara Colleton says. "That being said, Quinn has proven his mettle as a really good guy, so it's going to be a yin-and-yang, back-and-forth between her fear of fully committing. She's a little gun shy."
***** RUMOR: Season 6 will premier October 2, 2011.
 ***** TV Guide stated that Season Six is occurring one year after season 5's finale. "We thought a clean start to this season would be to jump ahead a year, so he's not getting over Lumen [Julia Stiles], and he's not still in the throes of dealing with the Rita [Julie Benz] thing," exec producer Sarah Colleton says. "We wanted to jump ahead a year and find that Dexter has gotten his groove back. He's gotten over Rita and Lumen."
This news is busts the rumor below.
*****Rumor: Dexter Season 6 will take place 2 or 3 years after the season 5 finale. Harrison will be 4 years old and he will be on preschool. It looks that the Lumen situation will be completely forgotten.

S.6/E.1: "Those Kinds of Things"

At the beginning of the episode the seasons are all explained and mashed into a little re-fresher for your viewing pleasure and memory. Coming out of deja-vu Dexter is baiting two paramedics who have been killing people to make profits off of their victims harvested organs. Dexter is merciless, clean, and creative. Batista has moved into the apartment next to Dexter and Batista's niece is caring for Harrison, who is starting preschool this season. Dexter then goes to his High School reunion in order to catch the schools star quarter-back who killed his wife. Quick fact: Dexter graduated in 1991.
Harry seems more of a friend, a companion rather than a begrudged father. A great scene is where Dexter dances to "HammerTime" as he looks towards Harry for permission and Harry tells Dexter to let go and have fun. Colin Hanks and Edward Olmos play two creepy foreboding characters. In a bit of humor Dexter learns how to play football in order to get close to his target, the ex-High School Quarter-back. Just throwing this out there; Brea Grant is very attractive.
"Those Kinds of Things" as a title of the episode draws on the religious undertones of the material in the season premier. Dexter wants to do good by Harrison and religion is brought up accidently and Dexter questions many things; those kinds of things.
On a lighter note Dexter has an "Oral exam" in his old classroom while he tries to capture his prey. All I have to say to conclude this many synopsis and review is Dexter is back!
