RED drops you into a world of old CIA operatives who may know a little too much and now they are all “black-listed” and forced to fight for their lives. RED is a great film for the simple fact that its fun. The story centers around Bruce Willis who has been framed for assassination. In order to survive he must reassemble past friends and former CIA members to clear their names.
Through-out the film the aged and highly decorated cast are pitted up against young and ruthless enemies in the form of FBI, CIA, and other anagrams that mean business. Coming out on top Helen Mirren wields twin SMGs and a huge Barret .50 Caliber sniper rifle that says how badass she really is. I believe Dame Judi Dench and Helen Mirren should play a round of fisticuffs.
Action, humour, and a good clean script make RED worth a view. Plus the fist fight with Bruce Willis and Karl Urban is a highlight of the film.
