Nokia is coming out with a phone for Windows 8 next week, but in the meantime, here's the first look at a WP8 phone—one made by Samsung!--from Microsoft's blog.
At first glance, we thought the phone looked like a Galaxy S III, but after looking at these shots from the MS blog, this looks like something else. It's officially called the ATIV S, and has some impressive specs. A 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED Gorilla Glass 2 screen, 1.5Ghz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 16 or 32GB storage, and a 2300mAh battery—just a bit bigger than the 2100mAh on the GSIII.

Looks-wise, it's... OK. Decent. But it's not as sleek and good-looking as the Galaxy S III. Its design just isn't as clean. Nokia's definitely got some competition, which is a good thing, but it would be even better if this thing were just drop dead gorgeous. For all the pics, head over to the Microsoft blog. [Microsoft]
