UPDATE: The name for this new title will be "Gyokugen Dasshutsu Adv: Zennin Shiboudes". "Gyokugen Dasshutsu" translates to "Extreme Escape". In Japan, 999 was named Gyokugen Dasshutsu: Ku Jikan, Ku Nin, Kyu no Tobira, which translates to "Extreme Escape: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors". Based on this title, the game could possibly take place in the 999 universe, but will not be a sequel to the original. ChunSoft, the Japanese developer responsible for the well received and critically acclaimed adventure-puzzle-thriller known as "999" for the Nintendo DS, has announced that they will be making a successor to that title for the PSVita and the 3DS. This newly announced game will not be a sequel, but will be developed by the same staff. It will be fully voiced and will call upon some of Japan's best voice actors for the job. 999, which stands for 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors, is considered one of the best, if not THE best title on the DS by owners of the system. As of now, this is still a fresh announcement, so the details known are very vague. I will make sure to follow this title and post whenever new details are announced. Little King's Story, a charming Pikmin-esque RPG adventure on the Wii, is perhaps one of the most under-appreciated games of this generation. Thankfully, it's still getting a follow-up despite the lack of love. Andriasang reports that a Little King's Story sequel has been announced for the PlayStation Vita in the latest issue of Famitsu. The Japanese title for the new game is The King, the Demon King, and the Seven Princesses: New King Story, but it's safe to assume that will probably be altered if new publisher Konami brings it over to North America. Actual game details from Famitsu are light right now, but so far we know that the game will have a new visual style and some sort of love/dating element. Here's hoping it makes its way to the U.S. as well. {GameInformer} The pack will contain five story levels and seven side levels, including Rise of the Cakeling, which features a “rouge cake threatening doom and destruction, and you Sackfolk must once again attempt to restore peace to Craftworld.” To do this, you can use A new toy, The Brain Crane, which is a new powerup that allows you to control objects with the power of your mind. Included in the DLC is also a new suite of creative tools to create Move games, record fluid motions, and paint stickers. Speaking of which, there will also be a “boaatload of new stickers, materials, decorations, costumes, music, sound and sequencer objects.” The Move Pack also brings backwards compatibility with LittleBigPlanet 2, which was announced eons ago, and allows you to play through all of the original story levels from the game, and the 5 million community levels using Move. Happily, it still comes with a headphone port. Along with WiFi and onboard stereo, Sony also seems to have jettisoned whatever it is that makes the PSP 2000 model so light – it comes in at 223 g (about .5 lbs), as opposed to the more familiar model’s 189 g (about .42 lbs). The new model has been priced at €99, $99 and AUD $140.
