What is Kate shooting if Lycans are extinct? In an interview Michael Ealy talks about 3-D filming and some info on Underworld 4; Lycans are allegedly extinct in this film So does this mean the film is set in the future or is it cat-and-mouse game the Lycans are playing at? "It is unclear how far it is in the future," Ealy says. "I don't know where it takes place or when. Time and place doesn't really matter in a film like this. You get caught up with the characters and they all have a human dynamic." [ShockTilYouDrop] At Comic-Con Rober Rodriguez revealed that Machete is set to return to theaters with two sequels. "Both 'Machete' sequels have been greenlit," says Rodriguez, though he added that the first one is currently the only one guaranteed to have a full-length film involved. The third will exist (for the time being) only in trailer form. To be titled Machete Kills, the sequel will include fake footage for the third film, now titled Machete Kills Again... In Space!. Rodriguez promises that it will include space babes and a lightsaber style weapon. No further details are known but its certain that Danny Trejo is certain to return as MACHETE! The Mirror UK reports that Margarita Levieva is the next Bond Girl for Sam Mendes’ untitled Bond 23: "Margarita has been asked about her availability for when filming on the 23rd James Bond begins in three months. An insider said: “The perfect Bond girl is beautiful, confident but mysterious, and Margarita has all of those qualities. The deal will need to be finalized sooner rather than later, because the schedule for production is supposed to get under way in around October this year.” A sequel to cult-classic Australian thriller "Wolf Creek" was one of more than a dozen projects announced by Screen Australia head Ruth Harley at the Melbourne Intl. Film Festival at the weekend Here's a synopsis: Lured by the promise of an authentic Australian holiday, backpackers RUTGER, KATARINA and PAUL visit the notorious Wolf Creek crater. Their dream Outback adventure soon becomes a horrific reality when they encounter the site's most infamous local, the last man any traveler to the vast and isolated region ever wants to meet; MICK TAYLOR (John Jarratt). As the backpackers flee, Mick pursues them on an epic, white knuckled rampage across hostile wasteland. Only one will remain to be dragged back to his lair to witness the true magnitude of his monstrosity. And if the last man standing is to have any hope of surviving where no one has survived before, he'll have to use every ounce of cunning to outwit the man behind the monster, and become every bit as ruthless as the monster inside the man. There's a fad going around in Hollywood of films taking a turn to darker emotions and settings. "Gritty," "Grimmy," "Graphic," and "Edgy" are some of the words used to promote new films like The Dark Knight and it's threequel ender The Dark Knight Rises. At the Comic-Con panel for Mortal Kombat Legacy Michael Jai White, Jax from the web-series and original Spawn, expressed his interest in the film and talked about how he wanted the film to take from the comics more and to give fans the blood and gore they want. "I hope he[Todd McFarlane] does [make the film]. In the next couple years I might have to produce it myself. It’s a no-brainer. Look at how these movies have done, superhero movies that have gone dark, and there hasn’t been one darker than Spawn. If we do it like we want to, it could be a game changer. I think Todd feels the same way as me – that we go R. Not a kinder, gentler Spawn, we go straight R – like pushing it, pushing NC-17. Give the fans what they expect. That edge brought [the comic book] to where it is. I would really like to show what that character can be,” he said. [KillerFilm] It was rumored back in May that Bradley Cooper would be portraying Lucifer in Alex Proyas adaptation of Paradise Lost. Aussie Film is now confirming that casting, and is also reporting the film is tentatively scheduled for a late 2013 release. Paradise Lost will be filmed with motion-capture, and focus on the battle between Michael and Lucifer. No word if the film will be released in 3D, but it’s safe to assume it will. I find it hard to believe that this actor keeps getting phenomenal roles in terms of scale, scope, fame, and infamy. In my opinion Cooper hasn't proved himself but with these roles he can turn his career into the right direction. Remember he will be taking over the lead role of The Crow remake. Visionary filmmaker Ridley Scott returns to the genre he helped define, creating an original science fiction epic set in the most dangerous corners of the universe. The film takes a team of scientists and explorers on a thrilling journey that will test their physical and mental limits and strand them on a distant world, where they will discover the answers to our most profound questions and to life’s ultimate mystery. Prometheus hits theaters June 1st, 2012. [FilmStage] One of the biggest roles Samuel L. Jackson has had in the past ten years wasn’t in a film, but in the animated show Afro Samurai. The title itself tells you most of what you need to know about the series, which is based on a manga of the same name by Takashi Okazaki. Following a samurai who avenges the death of his father in a futuristic (yet feudal) Japan, it was made up of a five-episode miniseries, which also spawned the made-for-TV animated film, Afro Samurai: Resurrection. Samuel L says he might not star but this is one of his favorite properties and he already has a production crew and now all he needs is a writer and director. We'll follow this as it continues.
