"Project Cafe" is the codename for Nintendo's secret next generation console that is hyped to bring a new wave of gaming to the masses. Promises promises promises.
The ad boasts, "Project Cafe' is simply the most developer friendly SDK the industry has ever seen. Deliver unparalleled next generation performance at current generation costs. It doesn't get any easier than this."
Here is where I dissect this image.
The description goes on to say, "easy portability from PC, Xbox 360." That doesn't sound like a new console that sounds like a portable and transferable data center.
"anytime live update past/post release." Internet seems to be a necessity.
"intergrated ??-Live framework." Could be a new updated internet service from Nintendo.
The left side shows the left profile of the device and the right side shows off the right profile. No ports are visible in these photos as well as no buttons, which tends to boggle the mind of any on-looker.
NOTE- the ad above and the picture to the right have not been acknowledged or confirmed by Nintendo. Their digital lips are sealed until E32011.
Nintendo president Satoru Iwata is quoted in a Reuters article, saying,
"We would like to propose a new approach to home video game consoles."
This new approach, as you might expect, does not necessarily include 3D displays.
"It's difficult to make 3-D images a key feature, because 3-D televisions haven't obtained wide acceptance yet," he said.
E32011 goes live on June 7-9, 2011. Make sure and check back here for more news and follow ThePauseMenu on Twitter and on Facebook.
