Rockstar has released a few screenshots of a crime scene you will head as Detective Cole Phelps in L.A. Noire.
In the game, players will rise through the ranks of the LAPD as they try to solve cases across five different department crime desks – the worst of which is Homicide. Seems like Los Angeles is being “terrorized with a series of horrific murders perpetrated on young women,” and as each case is reported, it’ll be up to the player to bring the culprit to justice. The screenshots below provide glimpses of the evidence the killer left behind. Each was seen in moving form during Monday’s trailer. Rockstar also said that the official website for the game will launch tomorrow, with a bit more on the Homicide crime desk including high-res versions of these and other new crime scene screens. L.A. Noire releases in the US on May 17, and in Europe on May 20 on PS3 and Xbox 360. [gamenewshq] I just gotta say, Scorpion is still the baddest looking mofo around.
Mortal Kombat releases on April 19th, 2011 Pics are from IGN obviously. Rockstar and Team Bondi's impressive thriller LA Noire could be set for an April 5 release in North America. That's according to several US retailers - including GameStop,GameFly and Amazon - who've all listed April 5 as the launch date. Just to be controversial, another online retailer, CD Universe, has listed an April 6 release. So far Rockstar's official line has been to expect LA Noire in "spring 2011". A second LA Noire trailer is due to be released on Monday. But with gameplay rooted more in arcade fighters than sports, should it also add "unrealistic"?
Supremacy MMA, on Xbox 360 and PS3, is due for a May or June release and will be published by 505 Games, which published the unlicensed football title Backbreaker at the same time last year. [Kotaku] WHAT'S THE STORY You are Hawke, the Champion. Either a female or male human, you have risen through the ranks of society and your influence has grown as a result. Told through a framed narrative (think the movie Princess Bride) by a Chantry member named Cassandra and a dwarf named Varric, the story of Dragon Age II is dictated backwards – you are already the champion in present day and Varric is re-telling your story. What this means for players is that instead of spanning one year like Origins, the second covers 10 years of events. This also grants BioWare the freedom to skip over the "boring" sequences that don't offer compelling gameplay and means that your choices will have more of an immediate impact than in most titles. From what I saw, Dragon Age II is linear, yet open. Points A and B are predetermined, but how you get there is entirely up to you. During my time with the game I recruited people in the order I wanted to and completed missions the way I wished as well. CLICK READ MORE TO VIEW THE FULL ARTICLE
